Art For Humanity
Throughout history, women who have been have been labeled as a bit different are the ones who have changed the history of the world.
Women for Women have joined forces with The Heroine’s Quest, the world’s first virtual coaching program specifically for women who are just a bit ‘crazy’ and determined to make changes to their life and at the same time give back and make a difference to others.

Swan House Philosophy
>The Swan House Gallery & Garden isn’t a place…it’s a space held anywhere there are those who enjoy coming together and feeling that Life is an Art.
All are Artists at the Swan House…if, they choose to be.
Gabrielle Van Bree is an Artist who chooses to be at the Swan House Gallery. Come see why we love her and she loves us…
We think you will be delighted to view an absolutely authentic perception by Gabrielle of the nature in life that one does not always take the time to see. Grounded and yet, ethereal, Gabrielle’s work is a movement of life expressing it’s own spirituality. A feminine spirit evolving in such a balanced way…soft expressions with grit. We hope Gabrielle never goes away.
The rest is His-story. Her story comes soon.
And yet, his-story is told well by the likes of Sue Ferguson who displays her talents of portraiture with the renditions of New Zealand’s “Haka”. Sue paints the All Blacks you guess to know or are simply proud to hang in your own home. Sue does absolutely unique commission portraiture work that has no limitation to subject, venue, or request…
Gunnar Holmstrom has 100 original Abstract Acrylic paintings of Interior Landscapes painted while he stayed in New Zealand…a place he picked intentionally to express his deepest attachments to Love of the Feminine Body. Gunnar stayed in central city Christchurch for four months to say what he felt needed to be said. Gunnar spends the remainder of his time between Thailand and Sweden whilst loving his wife, Thitaree, his muse. His work is viewed on request.
Domingo has 46 works on sale at The Swan House Gallery. Domingo is a Prophet Painter. Kathy Kise Nicholson is currently writing a book about his body of work titled “the Stand for Women, by Domingo the Man”. All Domingo paintings are on sale by negotiation, not necessarily monetary.
Kathy Kise Nicholson is the caretaker of all the artists and those who are yet to know that they too, are one. The Swan House Gallery has unique Art Class Structures to the individual, not the group mentality. Each one has unique needs and ways to express that must be safeguarded in all ways. One-ness does not mean sameness.
Since we cannot say it any better…we will let Picasso say it for us…
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
Pablo Picasso

Kathy Kise Nicholson, Artist, Universal Citizen
Previously from Fernside, New Zealand
My father had a picture of Albert Einstein in his studio. As a young girl I watched a grown man show reverence for this wild looking man with white hair standing on end. Why?, I wondered often until one day, I too, could read some of the things he said:
“The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.”
And, thereby another Artist was bred. My Father, My Mother and my Father’s Mother were all practicing Artists. I grew up with brushes and bowls full of paint, stained clothing and a kiln to dry them in. I don’t copy, I create.
Never told no and never told to find the answer outside myself I grew up and did what every young rebel did…investigate the opposite of what I was given, until one day…I learned to appreciate the Artist within.
Everyone is an Artist. Everyone. Every. One.
Through this action that is absolutely embedded in all beings I crashed and burned myself into the race to locate It’s source, It’s primary directive, It’s central most position in all the world, no universe, in deed! It’s inside of me, inside of you, tucked away not unlike a foot in a shoe…to take out, skip about, and play!
Art is beauty and beastly and any other thing that makes you feel anything!
If it makes you feel…it is Art.
This is my story and I’m sticking to it!
Like Picasso said:
“Great Artists are born, it is not difficult to be a Great Artist, the difficult part is staying that way.”
